Every Dryflow air filter is engineered to exceed the normal flow capacities of the engine it is required for when clean. You get great flow with Dryflow, in addition to outstanding filtration and excellent dust holding capacity. Plenty of flow for gas and diesel! AEM’s Dryflow synthetic filter flows almost as well when it is dirty as it does when it is clean, and typically flows over twice as much air than is required for large displacement engines in vehicle applications covered by Brute Force intakes. By designing our Dryflow filters to exceed the flow requirements for the size of the engine that we designed the intake for, it allows us to do two things. The first is that it allows you to add modifications that increase flow demand without exceeding the flow capabilities of the filter. Second, it extends the filter’s service cycle (You Don’t Have To Clean It As Often) because it can trap more dirt without sacrificing flow.
